To become a Director Texas, you MUST meet minimum requirements. To learn more about those requirements, see our qualifying information below:

Director Credential Course:

This program is designed to prepare students to become child care center director's for early childhood education program management and administration. Please be sure you have selected "Pay in full" at the bottom of the page to register for the course. All fees must be paid at least 5 days prior to the start of the course, unless you are enrolling into the Online Texas Director's Credential Course. This course is recognized by Texas Child Care Licensing and designed for potential Directors as mandated by the Texas Health and Human Services Department.

You Must receive prior approval before registering for the Texas Child Care Administrator's Course.

After approval, you may register. Course materials will be overnighted to you within 24 - 48 hours. If course is purchased after 2pm, course materials will mail out the following business day.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a licensed center
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
